ServantCARE CARE Pack Program

Established to facilitate support and encouragement from CARE groups in North America to missionaries serving worldwide

Groups that register and are approved as CARE Groups are encouraged to adopt the workers they are connected with and commit to pray for them, communicate with them regularly, and occasionally send them CARE packages (pending country protocols). CARE Packs filled with necessities and missed favorites from back “home are packed and sent to missionary families as reminders that they are cared for and loved.

How CARE Packs work

If you desire to become a CARE Group that adopts a family or individual serving internationally:

  1. Fill out the "Become a Packer" form below.
  2. Send in a Referral letter. Instructions for what is required are in the document to the right. (If ServantCARE has an existing referral letter for you, an additional one is not needed).
  3. A ServantCARE Staff member will reach out to you in order to connect you with the international worker/individual.
  4. If approved (pending completed form below and appropriate referral letter), CARE Groups will be given the names, ages, suggested ways to care for, and items that can be included in CARE Packs for each recipient family member.
  5. A ServantCARE Staff member will facilitate connecting the group with the international worker and ensure groups are aware of the best ways to communicate with their adopted units/families.
  6. If possible, CARE Groups are expected to purchase, package, and ship a CARE Pack between one and four times a year. Prayer and encouragement from the group are expected throughout the year for the workers.
  7. The relationship between the CARE Group and the family/individual serving internationally is meant to be one of care, prayer, and not to meant to become a burden for the workers. Those serving are often times responsible for reporting to a myriad of people. Our desire is that the CARE Group would not be another checkbox on the list, but that they could develop a genuine relationship with those serving in a way that encourages them and supports them as they continue in the mission.
If you are an international Christian worker and desire to become a recipient of this CARE:

  1. Fill out the "Register as a Recipient" form below.
  2. Send in a Referral letter. Instructions for what is required are in the document to the right. (If ServantCARE has an existing referral letter for you, an additional one is not needed).
  3. A ServantCARE Staff member will reach out to you to connect you with a CARE Group.
  4. A ServantCARE Staff member will communicate to ensure all security and import requirements are noted and relayed accurately to the CARE Group.
  5. As the recipient, the hope is to be a blessing, not a burden, to you. CARE Groups will be responsible for initiating conversations and staying engaged. This is not meant to be another group you have to present yourself to in a certain manner. This is a group that is committing to cover you in prayer, encourage you, celebrate with you, and mourn with you as you do the work the Lord has called you to do. When the group reaches out, it is expected that you respond to the group when possible. The more you can develop a relationship with the CARE Group in an authentic way, the more meaningful the care given will be.
