The Resting Place
An invitation is extended to pastors, missionaries, and the body of Christ to come to The Resting Place to experience a quiet place in the Lord’s Presence. Located in the small southern town of Midway, Alabama, ‘The Resting Place’ exudes country charm. Guests are able to enjoy the outdoors through fishing, hunting, gardening, and drinking sweet tea in rocking chairs on the front porch. Our goal is to see the body of Christ and Christian workers rested, healthy, experiencing freedom, and growing so that they will be effective in life and ministry.

Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, [Jesus] said to them, "Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest."
RV hookups are available on the property. Laundry and Wifi are available. Check your cell service carrier - some are better than others at this location.
The fee is $35 nightly for singles and $45 for couples/families - in US funds. If you are booking a group, we will discuss options.
Meals: 3 meals per day (2 hot meals) will be served for guests.
ATTENTION: While this home provides wifi and some cell service, we encourage you to leave it and your computer behind and rest while here. Leave our number with others so they can reach you in case of emergency. Come prepared to dwell in His presence.
Booking Your Time at the Resting Place in Midway, Alabama
Our heart is to meet your need. Please read thoroughly all the information on this site and follow the instructions to help expedite the process.
First submit the application (e-mail Anna: anna@servantcare.com) while getting the information on the referral letter to the proper people (pastor or sending agency) so they can send it to us (MUST be sent via USPS). We will check our calendar on availability and respond as soon as possible.
We look forward to serving you and will do our very best to accommodate you, but we do book on a "first-come, first-booked" basis. Please get your request in early.
Registration Process
How to register to stay at The Resting Place in Midway, Alabama:
- Complete the Reservation Request Form below
- Pay the non-refundable $25 applicaton fee
- Have a Referral Form sent from your missions agency and/or pastor to: ServantCARE, 216 Depot St., Midway, AL 36053 (Sorry, but the referral letter MUST arrive through USPS mail for our files, NOT e-mail)
- The following should be completed and emailed to anna@servantcare.com:
Requests for The Resting Place are best submitted at least a month ahead of time and at the very least two weeks prior to the time of arrival.
