ServantCARE Housing Coordinator & Administrative Support – Role Description

Are you detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about using your administrative gifts to care for others? Do you enjoy connecting with people while supporting the global Church in a practical way?

ServantCARE receives dozens of housing requests each week from missionaries, pastors, and ministry workers seeking rest and refreshment. As a Housing Coordinator & Administrative Support, you’ll play a vital role in guiding each request from initial inquiry to final confirmation, ensuring our guests are welcomed with excellence. This role also provides essential administrative support to help ServantCARE function smoothly and effectively.

We’re looking for a reliable, organized individual who communicates graciously, follows through with care, and builds strong relationships with guests, hosts, and the ServantCARE team.

Role Details

  • Hours: 20–40 hours per week
  • Location: Remote (work from home)
  • Compensation: This is a fundraising-supported position, with potential for a modest base salary depending on available funding.

Qualifications

  • A committed follower of Christ with a deep and growing relationship with the Lord
  • A heart for caring for those who serve and a passion for the global Church
  • Actively involved in a local church
  • Consistently dependable and available to respond to housing needs daily
  • Technologically capable (or teachable) with tools such as Gmail, Google Drive, and ServantCARE’s website
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Friendly and effective in communicating with a wide variety of personalities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Respond to housing requests with kindness, professionalism, and timeliness
  • Manage and guide requests through the complete booking process using ServantCARE protocols
  • Coordinate with hosts and guests to facilitate and confirm housing arrangements
  • Collaborate with fellow Housing Coordinators to ensure timely and accurate service
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold safety standards for all guests and hosts
  • Understand and communicate the process for becoming a host or guest, assisting applicants as needed
  • Support administrative tasks such as data entry, mailings, and document preparation
  • Track and report hours worked to ServantCARE leadership each month
  • Participate in ServantCARE’s annual in-person team gathering
  • Use your ServantCARE email for all role-related communication; personal phone may be used when necessary for follow-up

Support & Training

  • ServantCARE email account and access to internal systems
  • Direct communication with the Director via phone, text, or email
  • Initial training (remote or in-person) and ongoing support
  • Access to the ServantCARE Hospitality Home network for personal use
  • Resources and materials provided for personal fundraising efforts through ServantCARE
