Two bedrooms Available
Once an old schoolhouse, this now converted multi-generational farmhouse in a rural family community, is open for hosting guests seeking to get away from the noise of modern life.
The upstairs area is split into two levels. The lower level (previously the school stage) is made up of the foyer (main entrance), a half bath and a living room for relaxing and conversation. The upper split-level has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchenette for guests. The larger bedroom has a queen bed and a pull-out sofa. The second bedroom has a full-size bed. WiFi is available throughout the house. No TVs are in the upstairs area. Laundry facilities are in the downstairs area and are available.
Outside you'll find an in-ground pool overlooking nature - fields, ponds and maybe an animal or ten. The surrounding land is family-owned and could be made available to guests for outdoor activities such as fishing.
There's also a small country church in the field behind the house. The church is a wonderful quiet place for prayer and meditation and is only a short stroll from the house thru the field. For the musically inclined, there's both a piano and keyboard if you want to worship in solitude.
All guests are welcomed to join for the Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services. Sunday morning services are always followed by potluck (dinner-on-the-grounds) while Wednesday evenings start with themed (typically) meals - Mexican, Italian, breakfast-for-dinner, finger foods etc. Join us for faith, food, and fellowship.
Retreats at this property are possible. There is a church building, fellowship hall, small group rooms, etc. on the property that could be made available to guests. This would be a great place for an overnight camping retreat for fathers and sons.
There’s ample space in the fridge and cabinets in the kitchenette for guests to bring their own groceries. Meals with host are possible if schedule allows.
